About our Team

As a leading sales manager within our Global Pharma Sales Leadership Team, you will provide support to Key Account Managers (KAMs), and Account managers in executing the commercial sales strategy and achieving revenue targets whilst carefully managing the costs and profit budgets. You will be responsible for setting and monitoring performance against individual targets within territory, ensuring that product and marketing strategies are supporting the sales efforts and working closely with product development and delivery. You will work closely with a fellow colleague, managing one of two pod sales teams servicing EMEALA and together lead the EMEALA pod teams as a whole within the Global Pharma Sales team.

About the Role

Within our Global Pharma Segment, you will be responsible for sales management across all revenue streams for direct reports in APAC and one of two sales pods serving EMEALA. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, provide direction, improve processes, and offer forecasts and support across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and reporting sales activity against budget - achieve 2024 revenue target for all product lines, review and re-forecast. Managing sales plans for high growth areas and apply resources to ensure maximum value can be achieved.

  • Identifying areas of risk and opportunity with appropriate strategies to drive revenue and build partnerships.

  • Providing monthly reports of activity which may include pipeline and forecasts for the group

  • Building relationships with Industry customers, Leaders and Agencies within the Pharma Industry

  • Collaborating and knowledge-sharing with internal stakeholders and media team

  • Being the face of Elsevier, participating in pitches and representation at Industry conferences

  • Implementing sales go to market strategy

  • Identifying key accounts and implementing territory Account Plans across the regions, whilst contributing to the global account plans

Requirements

  • Have extensive experience in sales capacity in/for pharmaceutical/ med device industries/ healthcare agencies

  • Be knowledgeable of the UK and International pharma market, and agencies within

  • Have experience with managing complex, multi-regional teams in a B2B sales capacity

  • Have experience of senior sales management - pipeline monitoring, forecasting, financial planning

  • Have outstanding oral and written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Be able to communicate with stakeholders of all levels internally and externally

  • Have an international mindset, sensitive to multi-cultural differences and practice

  • Be able to influence others, motivate staff, lead by example

  • Be able to travel, occasionally at the weekend and internationally, as required.
