RELX INC Portfolio Marketing Coordinator in Mexico

About role

Sells a portfolio of the organization's event/exhibit space. Typically sells booth/floor space, sponsorships, directory advertisements and other ancillary media. Manages and is accountable for the performance of: a medium sized team of professional associates, or multiple supervisors of business support / operation roles. Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple small teams of employees. Develops and adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges; receives minimal guidance from manager. Manages generally homogeneous team(s); adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges.

Responsabilities

  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas.

  • Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues, and/or customers.

  • Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines.

  • Understands how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives and understands industry best practice

  • Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions.

  • Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems based on the analysis of information.

  • Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume and timeliness of objectives. Has responsability for budget and resource planning.

  • Guides, influences and persuades others internally in other business areas or externally with customers or agencies.

Requirements

  • Have a proven track record in a sales management/leadership role, preferably but not limitable to the events or exhibitions industry.

  • Be adept in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on coaching and mentorship.

  • Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Display analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and identify revenue opportunities and convey complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Show extensive knowledge of market trends, industry activities, and emerging technologies in the exhibitions and trade show sector.

  • Experienced in analysis of information.

  • Budget management and resource planning.
